Comorbidity
-
13 Angold A, Costello J, Erkanli A. Comorbidity. J Child Psychol Psychiatry 1999; 40:57-87. An important meta-analysis of childhood disorders in epidemiological studies. The findings of frequent overlap with depression and ADHD support the validity of this comorbidity. We would disagree with the negative statements on bipolarity on the basis of methodological concerns such as ascertainment (frequently through schools) and fundamental disagreements about the criteria for childhood mania.
