    • 2CO mixture (1:9 by weight) indicated that the chlorosulfonyl group could be very slowly hydrolyzed to be the sulfonic group (less than 10% in 1 h). In addition to this, the GIR absorption bands due to the chlorosulfonyl group of the CTS fixed by the LB technique and by the chemisorption technique in a toluene solution had almost the same intensity.

    • The formic acid-treated substrate was almost completely wetted by water just after cleaned by ultrasonication in water. When the substrate was dried and kept in the air, the contact angle gradually increased up to about 35°.
