A recent study of plant accumulations from the Morrison Formation of Colorado showed a component of what may be conifer cuticle in what are interpreted as large herbivore coprolites, which may have been made by sauropods [K. Chin and J. I. Kirkland, Mod. Geol. 23, 249 (1998)].
