2 (30ml) was stirred at r.t. under nitrogen atmosphere for 4 days. The solvent was thereafter removed under reduced pressure and the residue left was extracted with diethyl ether (2 × 10ml). 2-Phosphaindolizine 4e separated on keeping the concentrated extract in refrigerator.
