14. A narrow-bandwidth coherent laser would cause Autler-Townes splitting and other interference effects in the atomic response and spontaneous-emission spectrum. Furthermore, in dense media the Lorentz-Lorenz corrections to the mean amplitude would have to be taken into account as well.
