Chirazyme L2 is immobilized Candida antarctica lipase B, which, according to Boehring Mannheim, is a catalyst corresponding to Novozym 435 (the trade name of immobilized Candida antarctica lipase B or SP 525) from Novo-Nordisk. Chirazyme L5 is Candida antarctica lipase A which is similar to the former lipase SP 526 from Novo-Nordisk. Novo-Nordisk no longer supplies Candida antarctica lipases.
