13. Although the authors suggest the possibility of end-linking within a lamella, resulting in a fold, we doubt such occurs during polymerization. End-linking between layers (forming a "tie-molecule") appears much more likely for these "rigid" chains, particularly since end-linking within a layer requires adjacent antiparallel oligomers.
