In this article it is claimed that nuclear absorption plus comover interaction cannot explain the size of the (Formula presented) suppression observed in PbPb collisions. An opposite conclusion is reached in Ref. 9 and in the present work. In Ref. 6 the wounded nucleon model is used to compute the comovers suppression as well as the (Formula presented) correlation. Another difference resides in the value of the absorptive cross section—which is taken to be equal to 4.8 mb in Ref. 6 and 6.7 mb in our case.
