    • Synthesis of 1 was as follows. ω-Aminohexanoic acid was acylated with p-nitrobenzoyl chloride and then condensed with β-lactosylamine in the presence of BOP and HOB1. The nitro function was hydrogenated with Pd/C and the product was chromatographed through Toyopearl HW40S to provide 1 in 59% yield from ω-ammohexanoic acid.
