    • The “diffractive radius” of the (Formula presented) meson is given by (Formula presented) where (Formula presented) is the c.m. energy, (Formula presented) is the slope of the Pomeron trajectory, and (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) are the slopes of the differential cross sections at (Formula presented) for (Formula presented)-meson electroproduction on a nucleon and nucleon-nucleon scattering, respectively. This result relies on the presumed analogy between these exclusive, diffractive processes and absorptive scattering in quantum mechanics
