Shizhuo Yin K(Senior Member, IEEE) received the Ph.D. degree from Pennsylvania State University, University Park, in 1993. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Electrical Engineering Department at Pennsylvania State University. In the fast five years, he published over 40 refereed journal papers, contributed chapters for six books, and co-edited several books. His major research areas are photonic devices, fiber optic sensors and communications, optical metrology, pattern recognition, and medical optics. Dr. Yin co-chaired the SPIE Conference on Photorefractive Fibers, Crystals, Materials, and Applications. He is listed in Strathmore's Who's Who.
