    • Strictly speaking, this calculation is only valid for fast exchange (ca. 1 ms) between the bound and the free surfactant fraction on the timescale of the correlation function. For slow exchange, the autocorrelation function [Eq. (1)] will consist of two components with different diffusion coefficients. No significant deviation from Equation (1) was observed in our experiments, however.
