    • Expression of Phanerochaete chrysosporium genes encoding lignin peroxidases, manganese peroxidases and glyoxal oxidase in wood
    • Expression of genes relevant to biopulping was quantified using magnetic beads to capture mRNA encoding ligninolytic enzymes. Data suggest that some genes previously believed to be highly expressed during biological pulping may be highly dependent on the species of wood being processed. For example, carbon starvation induces lipD, whereas nitrogen limitation appears to induce lipA, lipC, and lipJ. Unlike many studies, this investigation examined gene expression in wood rather than under cultural conditions. Data suggest that genes such as lipD and LipE are not actively involved in biopulping
