24. Preequilibrium charged particles are not excluded in the reconstruction of the excitation energy. Although these are negligible at low excitation (below 5 MeV/nucleon), up to two preequilibrium protons per event may contribute to (Formula presented) at the high end of (Formula presented) range (L. Beaulieu, Ph.D. thesis, Université Laval, 1996).
25. To a first approximation using the systematics of Beaulieu [Phys. Rev. C 51, 3492 (1995)], this leads to an overestimation of (Formula presented) of about 10% around (Formula presented)
