Magnetic resonance angiography of peripheral and carotid arteries was performed on seven volunteers after they had each been administered a 0.05 mmol/kg dose of MS-325, a new gadolinium-chelate intravascular contrast agent. Quality of images obtained after administration of this contrast agent was statistically significantly better than that of two-dimensional time-of-flight images (without administration of a contrast agent).

Coronary low rate, flow velocity, peak flow, and coronary flow reserve (CFR) were determined for 10 healthy volunteers at rest and during pharmacologically induced hyperemia using a magnetic resonance phase-contrast technique with view-sharing. Magnetic resonance measurements were similar to those reported in the literature for healthy adults.
