Cancer Res 1997, 57:5564-5570. Transgenic mice overexpressing a dominant-negative mutant form of the type II TGF-β receptor were generated and their response to carcinogen challenge was examined. An early increase in the incidence of lung tumors was observed in addition to increased incidence and multiplicity of mammary tumors.
