Significant restenosis occurred in only 3 of 200 patients, and repeat angioplasty of residual stent stenoses was found to be safe and effective.

Nine patients underwent stent placement with successful reduction in the gradient across the coarctation. On follow-up for up to 42 months, there have been no complications. One patient underwent repeat dilation 3 years after stent implantation.

In the first 24 hours, echocardiography demonstrated complete closure of the PDA in 28 patients, and on follow-up the PDA had undergone complete closure in all 30 patients.
