28. 1) Bromination of piperonal was performed in 61% yield according to Khanapure, S. P.; Biehl, E. R. J. Org. Chem. 1990, 55, 1471-1475;
29. 2) Oxime formation followed by zinc reduction in acetic acid at 70°C afforded amine 7 in 94% yield.
