    • For a comparison of these results with that exhibited by known antioxidants, we note here that under similar assay conditions and at their maximum nontoxic test concentrations, vitamin C (40 μM) and vitamin E (160 μM) afford 2% and 50% protection respectively against hydrogen peroxide-induced mutations in S. typhimurium TA 102 strain.
