    • The drawing in Figure 13a is a simplified view of reality, because if this were the case, then we would obtain four resolution-limited peaks at φ = 90° ± Δφ and 270° ± Δφ. The finite width of the four peaks indicates that the lamellar planes under go smooth undulations rather than the abrupt buckling shown in Figure 13a.
