    • Invited review and reappraisal
    • This special issue is tangible evidence of the strengthening relationship between the System Dynamics Society and the Operational Research Society. In addition David Lane from the London School of Economics has recently published in JORS a comprehensive review of some influential system dynamics books, including Jay Forrester's original Industrial Dynamics. See the 'Invited Review and Reappraisal', J Opl Res Soc 1997; 48: 1037-1042 and 1144-1148.
