Longitudinal variations in maximal oxygen uptake with age and activity
-
Dehn MM, Bruce RA. Longitudinal variations in maximal oxygen uptake with age and activity. J Appl Physiol 1972; 33:805-807. Maximal oxygen intake was measured in 86 healthy men between the ages 40 and 72 years (cross-sectional data). The study also included some longitudinal data for 40 of the men who had been tested 21-33 months previously. Results were compared with cross-sectional and longitudinal data from the literature.
