    • Preliminary studies on the reaction of cyclohexyl isocyanide with DMAD were carried out by one of the authors (M.V.G.) in Professor Huisgen's laboratory in München. Subsequently these studies were pursued at IIT, Kanpur, on Professor Huisgen's suggestion. The work on this project was interrupted several times and hence the delay in summarizing the results.
