    • 1H NMR spectrum of 4c(β) showed a smaller coupling constant (3.4 Hz) between the H-2 and H-3 due to an equatorial-equatorial coupling, while an axial-axial coupling constant (8.3 Hz) was recorded for 4c(α). Furthermore an NOE experiment with 4c(α) revealed a 3.8% enhancement between H-2 and H-6. No enhancement could be observed between these two protons in 4c(β).
