11. 2PHAL 1 was prepared as reported in ref. 2(a) using silica gel Merck-60 (230-400 mesh) instead of Li Chrosorb SI 60 (Merck, 5 mm). The content of alkaloid in 1 was determined by nitrogen analysis (0.21 mmol of alkaloid per gram).
