9. 2 (2ml) were added at -20°C. The mixture was allowed to warm at room temperature and stirred until the starting acylsilane had disappeared (TLC; light petroleum:ethyl ether 20:1) The mixture was then quenched with water and extracted with diethyl ether. The organic layer was dried and concentrated to give the homoallylic alcohols 2.
