In real experiments, depending on the sample, the time required to reach this level is about 1 h for labeled polymer films. Longer experiments, yielding higher peak counts, are not very practical, and the situation becomes more complicated because of lamp-drift problems. High-repetition laser excitation may overcome these problems.
