16. The sample being in powder form, the filling of the EPR tube is difficult because of electrostatic effects which cause the product to stick to the walls. Hence the exact amount of sample in the cavity is not precisely known.

20. Unfortunately the nine-layer LB film on glass could not fit into the EPR tube and has not been investigated.
21. The 2D magnetic structure of the LB films has been ascertained through EPR-anisotropy measurements. These results, together with the temperature dependence of the susceptibility, will be discussed in a coming paper on the magnetic properties of LB films.
