The Practice of Argument: Reading the Condition of Civil-Military Relations CORI DAUBER CORI DAUBER is an associate professor of communication studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds a doctorate in communication studies from Northwestern University, and a masters from UNC Chapel Hill. Her work focuses on the role argument structure, rhetoric, and persuasive strategy play in constraining and influencing defense policy. Previous work has appeared in journals such as Defense Analysis and Argumentation and Advocacy, and she is currently working on a book on the influence of Desert Storm on discussions of post-Cold War military intervention.
