32. To curve-fit the S 2p spectra, the authors followed the methodology described in Refs. [27,32,33]. A linear background was subtracted from the "raw" S 2p spectrum that was then fitted using a many-body line-shape convoluted with a Gaussian to account for instrumental resolution [27, 32, 33].
