    • 82 seems highly improbable on following grounds. Firstly, values of hfs and g-factors are very close for two isomers. Secondly, in the case of exo-structure some other ligands must be involved into the coordinative sphere of the metal. Thirdly, if protonation will remove the metal, the only source of unpaired electron, no EPR spectrum should be observed at all. The reason for non-observation of splitting due to the metal in the protonated species remains unclear.
