4. The CB radio, which had fallen drastically in popularity, appears to be making a comeback. At the same time, there are those who foresee the same fate that befell the CB radios in the 1970s befalling the Internet. For instance, according to Stephen Weiswasser, President of Americast, on-line services lack the quality content necessary to create a market, but yet cannot afford to create programming without an audience.
