note
-
The model allows for considering complex monomers with varying shapes and sizes. We look for the smallest possible monomer among all polymer and solvent species and use its size to determine the size of a lattice site. All other monomers then are allowed to occupy a number of such sites, consistent with their structures. In case the smallest monomer does not have the property that all other monomers are (about) integer multiples of its size, we may suitably choose an appropriate basic size so that all monomers are integer multiples of the basic size.
