12. Compound 6 was obtained as a sodium salt, but there is no evidence to confirm that it is also present as a sodium salt in the plant. It may be formed during the extraction and isolation procedures. From the above reason, the sulfate group of 6-8 is shown to be an anion form in their structural drawings.
