16. -1 corresponding to a rectangular cell of dimensions a = 6.2Å, b = 7.4Å. Clearly, this cell is very similar to that of phases A and B.
17. We have also performed the photodimerization on Langmuir-Blodget films transferred on glass slides at constant surface pressure of 10 mN/m, and found about 20% dimer formation. However, the amount of cis-acid reached 50%, presumably due to less ordered monolayers transferred on the solid support.
