18. 14C] MVA and 0.5 uCi of radioactive salanin was incubated in a cell-free system prepared from fresh seed kernels. Maximum amount of radioactivity (8860 dpm) was obtained in azadirachtin isolated after a week of incubation. That shows about 0.8% incorporation of salanin into azadirachtin.
