    • Kitade, Y., Wakana, M., Yatome, C. unpublished results: In fact, the chemical shift of the H2′-proton on 2-bromoadenosine (4.50 ppm) supports an anti-orientation the same as that of adenosine (4.60 ppm). On the other hand, the down field shift of H2′-proton of 8-bromoadenosine (5.08 ppm) and 8-methyladenosine (4.86 ppm) imply a syn-orientation as a result of the deshielding effect of purine ring.
