After cooling and depressurizing the product was collected by filtration and dried. 16.7 g (88 % ) N-acetyl-αcyclohexylglycine was obtained. Under the same conditions benzaldehydes did not react to give the desired glycine derivatives. Identical experiments with benzaldehyde and 4-fluorobenzaldehyde resulted in hydrogenation of the educts.
