21. As indicated in Table 1, the benefits ha"' of the floodplain were estimated on a weighted average basis. Previous estimates of these benefits were calculated in terms of an unweighted average over total production area of 730 000 ha. The weighted average is the much more conservative figure, and we have included it here so as to err on the side of caution.
