LUNKENHEIMER P., PIMENOV A., SCHIENER B., BÖHMER R. and LOIDL A., Europhys. Lett., 33 (1996) 611. This paper includes broad frequency measurements of ε″ (ν) in glycerol, including a study of the second power law region which we discuss. For the temperatures at which they overlap, our results are consistent with those measurements.

However, these debates do not take issue with the high-frequency shape of the scaling curve from which the arguments we present have been developed.

The original divergence argument [4] was constructed from an equation similar to eq. (1) relating a to the scaling parameter, w. 1/w is closely related, but not identical, to β.

The data we present is for fully deuterated propylene glycol. We have measured ε″ (ν) for the undeuterated liquid and find the shape and position of the spectra identical at all temperatures to that for the deuterated liquid.
