2 (35 mg, 0.06 mmol, 2 mol %), dppf (33 mg, 0.06 mmol, 2 mol %), and THF (3 mL). After stirring for 10 min, the triflate 9i (1.17 g, 3.0 mmol) was added at 0 °C followed by a solution of p-methoxyphenylzinc bromide (6.0 mL, c = 0.83 M in THF/hexane, 1.67 equiv). The reaction mixture was heated to 65 °C for 2 h. After usual workup as described above, the crude product was purified by filtration over silicagel and recrystallisation from 20 % ethyl acetate in hexanes yielding 10d (0.94 g, 2.7 mmol, 90 %) as white solid (mp = 102-103 °C).
