32. 10. According to the referee a reduction of the ketone 1 by using 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane was examined under the identical conditions to give similar results (89% yield, trans : cis = 97 : 3). However, the reagent is 6 fold more expensive than PMHS based on the hydride involved.
