    • In a paper related somewhat to the present note and published by one of us (M. V.B.) and his colleagues (Macromol. Symp. 95, 265, 1995) the effect of LiCl on the conductance of polystyryllithium in tetrahydrofuran was discussed. The discussion was coached in terms of a theory developed by Prof. Huyskens, one of the co-authors of that paper, referred by him as Non-ergodic theory. Unfortunately, as shown in a forthcoming paper, this theory is not acceptable. Therefore, the discussion of the results outlined in the above paper is discarded. The conductance studies are continued in Van Beylen's Laboratory and the results, to be reported shortly, are accountable for in terms resembling the approach developed in the present note.
