    • Data were subjected to the analysis of variance using Harvey's statistical package. Model 1, which was used to analyze Fwt, WmWt, and Pwm, included the overall mean; fixed effects of strain, sex, and strain x sex interaction; and the covariates Flg, Fwd, and Fth. Body weight was also included as a covariate in the original model, but was dropped due to collinearity with strain. Model 2 was used to analyze Flg, Fwd, and Fth. Model 2 included the overall mean and the fixed effects of strain, sex, and strain x sex interaction. Phenotypic correlations were also estimated from this model.
