    • Data were subjected to the analysis of variance using a factorial arrangement of time of feeding starter diet, time of commencing finisher diet, and the interaction of time of feeding starter diet and finisher diet as variables. Percentage data were transformed to arc sine and mortality data transformed to square root for analysis. Data are presented in the table as natural numbers. Analysis utilized the general linear model of SAS Institute [10]. Means were separated using the Ismeans test of the GLM procedure.
