    • The planar capacitor is of interest for many practical applications especially in microwave techniques. The conformal mapping technique is commonly used for simulation of the capacitance of the planar capacitor. However, there is no reliable estimation for the accuracy of the method applied to multilayer structures and for a nonlinear dielectric layer. As a result, the dielectric constant cannot be extracted from the experimental data with a reasonable accuracy using planar capacitors.
