    • Emission and reflection can in principle also be separated by choosing a higher excitation energy. However, close to threshold excitation is necessary in order to suppress multiple excitation satellites [13] which evolve at higher excitation energies. Such high energy satellites are prominent in Fe L emission and distort the spectra for DOS interpretation purposes. We will discuss the satellites in detail in a forthcoming paper
