    • We also experimented with a piezo driven nozzle (Laser Technics). We determined that the Δz displacement of the plunger of this nozzle was only 60 μm (using a driving voltage of 400 volts), resulting in an annular nozzle flow with a significantly smaller effective nozzle diameter. This resulted in cluster sizes much smaller than predicted for continuous jets; and because of fatigue of the piezo, the degree of clustering changed significantly over the time scale of a day.
