    • In the present work and earlier (refs 4-6), the terms enol and keto are based on the fact that SA monomer has a phenolic OH, before the ESIPT and thus is said to be "enol". This terminology will be reversed if keto is used for the SA monomer before tautomerization due to the carboxylic group.
