Great care is needed in placing contacts on the BEDT-TTF salt samples [5]. Whilst the SdH oscillations in this work are symmetrical about the fields where F/B is an integer (F is the frequency of the oscillations), those in [9] are not. This almost certainly results from the observed resistance in [9] containing contributions from both longitudinal and transverse components, owing to all of the contacts being placed on one sample face [5,14]. Such problems are avoided in this work by always using contacts on opposite faces, to ensure that the current travels chiefly in the interplane direction.
